Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by light. I recall being mesmerized by the way the light shone through the window, illuminating the air and revealing the dust particles floating within it. Light is a remarkable creation of God – it is the fastest thing ever created, traveling at a stunning speed of 186,000 miles per SECOND! It’s hard to fathom just how fast that is. What’s even more incredible is that, despite its speed, it takes a little over 8 minutes for the light from the sun to reach the earth. It’s truly remarkable to think about all the amazing things that God has gifted us with in this world.

Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness. God called the light “day” and the darkness “night.” And evening passed and morning came, marking the first day. – Genesis 1: 3-5
